The list for the follow-up to this includes Heroku, AWS, and Rackspace for sure. Right now I’m enjoying free hosting of a Sinatra app from Heroku (with a memcache back) with free custom domain, and like you said if there’s growth more resources can be added with a couple clicks.

I also have “docs.” and “code.” subdomains setup that point to google.
